#NSTviral: Online outcry of bad service at Pak Mat Western as shared in Tik Tok video

KUALA LUMPUR: A customer of a famous local chain restaurant has expressed dissatisfaction with the service provided by the eatery.

In a recent incident, the customer, who vented her frustration on social media platform TikTok, had a video recounting her visit to a Pak Mat Western restaurant.

User @akumemehati claimed that the service was horrible and that the restaurant was only known due to its powerful marketing, adding that the staff would also answer customer's requests sarcastically.

The location of the restaurant, however, was not disclosed in the post.

"When I dined at the restaurant the other day, they got my drink wrong so I decided to go over to the serving hatch because they were busy.

"(And) they told me that the section was not for making drinks, but for food. How was I supposed to know that?

"It was my first time there and they did not even apologise when they came back to give me the right drink," claimed the customer.

The customer also claimed that the staff would get upset with first-time customers who were unfamiliar with the restaurant's procedures.



Following the revelation, many netizens have also shared similar experiences at the restaurant, with some claiming that the staff have been rude to them.

Some also claimed that the food quality has also dropped over time.

Resonating with the customer, TikTok user @farah said she experienced a similar incident where some members of staff got upset over a customer's request.

"This is true. The other day, they gave (us) the wrong menu, and when we received something else (and pointed it out), they got angry and said it was our fault," she said.

Meanwhile, another user @nurhazleeza also shared the same thing where the staff was upset after her husband had asked about the food ordered more than an hour prior.

"My husband also had to ask if the fried rice we ordered was ready because we had been waiting for over an hour and that one dish hadn't arrived yet.

"The staff got angry and responded rudely."
