KUALA LUMPUR: Azfarul Zainol Akmar hopes to find the owner of a RM50 banknote that he had withdrawn from an ATM in Kuantan on Feb 19.
On the note were these words: "Dad's last money given to me, 11/5/20. Al-Fatihah."
Azfarul took to Facebook to share an image of the banknote on Feb 20.
"Just in case the owner of this banknote wants it back... I got it from an ATM."
The post has garnered 11,000 shares.
Some offered to give Azfarul RM50 should he find the owner.
User Ahmad Nazrul wrote: "If the owner is found, please give it to him for free. Let this banknote be a precious memory for him.
"I will replace the RM50 for you."
Another user, Nabey Hafiz, said: "This is the last banknote (RM100) given to me by my late father. It's been in my wallet since 2021."
