KUALA LUMPUR: Duyong assemblyman Datuk Mohd Noor Helmy Abdul Halim took to his TikTok to share his recent encounter with a constituent who had asked him for ducklings.
Helmy, who was on the ground meeting his constituents, was presented with a rather unusual request where in a 2-minute video, a woman seen talking to him was heard asking him for ducklings.
"You want the ducklings for healing?" asked Helmy.
The woman then replied, "Yes, for healing. I want to look at the ducklings while I rest."
Helmy then said he would solve the problem and asked the constituent the amount of ducklings she wanted.
Helmy also teased the woman by saying; "I thought you would say that once the ducklings have grown-up you would cook them as rendang for me."
To which the woman replied; "For that, you have to wait for two to three years (for the ducklings to grow-up)."
The woman then 'instructed' Helmy to buy the ducklings and send them to her.
Later in the video, Helmy delivered the ducklings personally to the woman.
"Here, I have fulfilled your wish. I've never done this before. As a peoples' representative, people ask for help and welfare.
"You are the only one who has ever asked me for ducklings."
Helmy then proceeded asking the woman if she had any names for the ducklings.
"Samsul ke, Leman ke, Tapa ke," Helmy suggested.
The woman then replied: "One of the ducklings, the male one, I'll put YB's (Yang Berhormat) name."
Upon hearing the woman's answer, Helmy burst into laughter.
In his caption for the video, Helmy wrote: "That day (someone asked for) a cerek (kettle), and today– ducklings. Mat okay je, asalkan permintaan rahmah mampu milik (I'm okay, as long as the requests are within my means to fulfil it.)"
