KUALA LUMPUR: Every year, at least one viral meal will circulate as Ramadan approaches.

This year, dates with a sliver of butter is fast gaining traction on social media.

"For those who haven't tried, you can prepare it for breaking the fast."

He also referenced a saying from Abdullah ibn Busr and Atiyyah ibn Busr, who said: "The Prophet Muhammad entered our house. So we prepared butter and dates. He liked butter and dates." (Narrated by Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah)

Meanwhile, the comments section was filled with netizens expressing their excitement to try this trend during sahur.

@Muhd_Umar__ suggested: "For a healthier option, use pure butter. It's more beneficial."
