#NSTviral: Woman finds dirty rag in murtabak from Ramadan bazaar [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: A Facebook user was left disgusted after making a stomach-churning discovery of a piece of dirty rag in her murtabak bought from a Ramadan bazaar.

In a series of images, Yuhaiza Hamid said her family then vomited after finding the dirty rag inside the murtabak that was allegedly purchased from the Desa Pandan Bazaar Ramadan.

"In the name of God, I bought this murtabak at the Desa Pandan Bazaar. I was confused why I couldn't cut it in half.. Turns out it's a dirty rag. Allah..

"Is this a dirty rag or a 'pelaris' (objects used in black magic to get more returning customers)... My family immediately vomited," she said.

The cloth had taken on the same colour as the rest of the Murtabak, making it virtually indistinguishable.

She later then posted another video to prove that it was indeed a dirty cloth by rinsing the fabric.

Yuhaiza also dismissed allegations from netizens that she had fabricated the whole thing, adding that she paid for the murtabak using a QR code.

She said many had approached her including officers from the health office, police and journalists.

The New Straits Times has attempted to reach out to the bazaar organisers and the Health Ministry for their comment.
