#NSTviral: Meet Suehaily, the voice behind MRT announcements [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: Meet the voice behind the MRT announcements, and yes, she's real.

Suehaily Abdullah, who had previously worked as a broadcast journalist for NTV7 and newscaster for RTM before becoming a full-time voice actor, has taken the internet by storm – all thanks to her friend, Atilia Haron.

Atilia, who is also an accomplished singer herself, had recently posted a video of her and Suehaily on TikTok, where Suehaily was asked to "say something".

Just as Suehaily took over the recording, she surprised everyone by saying "next station, TTDI" in her oh-so-familiar tone and voice.

Little did we know that Suehaily was actually "the person" behind all the MRT announcements, whose voice has been part of our daily commute to work and back.

In fact, Suehaily's voice in real life was so good that she sounded exactly like the announcements we hear on the trains.

Like Suehaily, Atilia is also famous for her impressive jingles, lending her voice to brands including Paddle Pop, Malaysia Truly Asia, KFC, and the hotline number for Pizza Hut.

At the time of writing, Atilia's video has garnered over 61.7k likes and over 865k views.

In the comment sections, netizens were awed by Suehaily's voice, and many were just as happy to see the two legends in the same video.
