PUTRAJAYA: The saying "cats have nine lives" certainly applies to these felines that got into difficulty and ended up stuck on a balcony of a highrise building yesterday morning.
A video posted on the Bomba Channel's Facebook page captured the heartwarming moment when firefighters rescued the two cats from the building.
The firemen's efforts earned them praise from the public.
The video showed firemen from the Fire and Rescue Department's Presint 4 rescuing the two cats that were trapped on the balcony.
"Allahuakhbar... Thanks to the firefighters for rescuing the cats. May Allah bless all of you. I got afraid and nervous just looking at the video.
"My heart was racing, especially when I saw the last cat. My heart was pounding. Thank you so much.
"Good job. A very brave act," were some of the comments on Facebook.
One comment by @Qayyum Roy praised the firefighters for their efforts, contrasting them with PLUS Malaysia.
The latter allegedly discarded a stray cat, leading to its escape and subsequent death in an accident.
The incident serves as an example of the value of showing compassion and understanding for all creatures.
