#NSTviral: Civil Defence Force rescues 'Oyen' after it gets its head stuck in hole in wall

KUALA LUMPUR: There is a belief that ginger cats are mischievous, often getting into tricky situations or having quirky traits.

One particular ginger feline lived up to this reputation when it required rescue from the Kota Kinabalu Civil Defence Force after it had gotten its head stuck in a hole in the wall.

In a statement on Facebook, the Kota Kinabalu Civil Defence Force said it had received an emergency call to rescue a cat in distress, yesterday.

"The complainant reported that a cat was stuck in a hole in the wall of their house.

"Members of the Kota Kinabalu Civil Defence Force fully equipped with personal protective equipment (PPE), immediately rescued the cat by breaking the wall using a power saw and Paratec equipment so that the cat could be extracted.

"The white-orange cat was then successfully rescued," it said.

The post also saw netizens praising the rescue.

Durrah Azhari commented: "Oyen (ginger cats) are known to cause trouble, anyways, congratulations APM Kota Kinabalu (for rescuing the cat)."

"Thank you to the personnel who help saved the creature, may Allah bless you for the act," Mohd Sadon wrote.

Meanwhile, another user, Anna Althafunnisa commented: "Poor kitty, good job APM for the rescue!"
