JOHOR BARU: Any political cooperation between Pas and Umno, would prove to be advantageous to Pakatan Harapan.
"It would be good if they do so because then we would know whether Pas is a third force or is just conspiring with Umno said Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
He said Pas' Mursyidul Am (spiritual leader) Hashim Jasin reportedly said that Pas does not discount the possibility of having a tahaluf siyasi (political cooperation) with Umno in the future.
“This would also make it easier for us to work out a strategy to face them," said Muhyiddin.
He said it is Pas' rights if they want to do so but what is important for Pakatan is to have a strategy in place.
Muhyiddin was speaking to the media after chairing a Johor Pakatan meeting here.
Also present were Parti Amanah Negara (PAN) deputy president Salahuddin Ayub, Johor DAP chairman Liew Chin Tong, Johor PKR chairman Hassan Karim and Johor PAN chairman Aminolhuda Hassan.
