'Pakatan Harapan a loose pact without one single ideology'

TEMERLOH: Pakatan Harapan is an pact among opposition parties which does not have one set ideology and was likely to break down after the 14th general election (GE14).

Umno treasurer Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak said today this was because the pact was based on policies designed merely to help certain leaders achieve their ambitions.

This, he said, included Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad who only wanted revenge against the nation’s leaders.

Salleh said Dr Mahathir acted this way because he believes that he knows everything and was angry that his son, Datuk Seri Mukhriz, had lost the race for one of the Umno vice-president posts in 2013, so ending his legacy.

“There must be a consensus for us to save Malaysia... they do not have an ideology, they are only active whenever elections come around. Barisan Nasional, on the other hand, actively and consistently helps the rakyat,” he said when launching the Temerloh BN election machinery at the SMJKC Hwa Lian school hall in Mentakab.

Present was BN Temerloh chairman Datuk Seri Mohd Sharkar Mohd Shamsuddin.

Salleh said BN offered a bright future for the people and the country, thanks to the various plans and programmes initiated by the government led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

“BN is a party which wants to ensure the harmony and wellbeing of the nation, wants to provide economic and education opportunities for everyone... it is because we are planning for the future that we initiated the National Transformation 2050 (TN50) programme.

“In Temerloh, if there is a problem with the speed and coverage of the Internet, let me know and we will double it at half the price in 2019, as the prime minister wants it, since we want to increase the digital economy of the nation,” said Salleh, who is multimedia and communications minister.
