Opposition admits huge challenge in GE14 - LGE

TELUK INTAN: Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng has admitted that the opposition faces an uphill task to win in the upcoming polls.

According to him, it is banking on the so-called “Malay tsunami“, and a large turnout among the Chinese and Indian voters in order to wrest Putrajaya.

Speaking at a ceramah here, Lim said another big challenge for the opposition is to win in Sabah and Sarawak, which have been Barisan Nasional’s (BN) fixed deposits in previous general elections.

His view on the Malay tsunami factor conflicted with that of his father’s and DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang who had played down the much touted notion that Malay votes may swing to the opposition in GE14.
