Mother's blessings accompany Syamsul, Chong

SEREMBAN – Barisan Nasional state candidates Syamsul Amri Ismail (Sikamat) and Datuk Chong Sin Woon (Seremban parliamentary seat) have their mothers as their biggest supporters in their bid to win in the 14th General Election (GE14).

Both moms are hoping that their sons will succeed and be able to provide the best services to the people if given the mandate.

Hasnah Rais, 60, mother of Syamsul Amri or better known as Syamsul Debat, said she given him her blessings and hopes he would fulfill all the promises made.

“My son had prior to this, sought my blessings before agreeing to contest. Syamsul’s seriousness convinced me that he can become a good leader, “she told reporters after a programme organised by Seremban Puteri UMNO Division here last night.

Meanwhile, Liaw Moi, 80, the mother of Chong, who is also MCA Youth chief, said she was not surprised when her son was picked as the BN candidate for Seremban.

“My son has good leadership qualities, and loves strategy-based games since he was small. I hope he can use all these traits to lead the community.

“I give my full blessings to Chong and hope that the voters will give him the opportunity to serve,” she said.

At the event, Syamsul also celebrated his mother’s 60th birthday.
