106-year-old Pak Long voting for the 14th time

PERMATANG PAUH: Othman Daud, 106, the oldest voter in the Permatang Pauh parliamentary constituency, arrived at SK Sri Penanti to cast his vote this morning.

Othman, more affectionately known as Pak Long, was ferried to the polling centre by his neighbour.

He was then taken on a wheelchair by officials from the Election Commission (EC).

Pak Long’s health restricts his movements but he is still able to read and write well.

Othman, from Tanah Liat, is voting for the Permatang Pauh parliament seat and Permatang Pasir state seat.

The centenarian is voting for the 14th time in the 14th General Election.

“I am happy as I am able to fulfil my obligation as a citizen,” he told newsmen.
