All eyes on Jo Anna, Joniston [NSTTV]

TUARAN: Two rivals for the Kiulu state seat Datuk Joniston Bangkuai of Barisan Nasional (BN) and Jo Anna Henley Rampas of Parti Warisan Sabah (WARISAN) were the centre of attention at the Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Tun Fuad Stephens voting centre, here.

Jo Anna, who is former Unduk Ngadau beauty queen (Ratu Kaamatan) arrived at the voting centre at 9.45 am. While queuing up, she was greeted by incumbent candidate Joniston.

Joniston was at SMK Tun Fuad Stephens to check out the voting process, after casting his vote at the Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Malangang Baru, Kiulu voting centre at 9.15am.

Jo Anna was a definite crowd puller, and many voters took the opportunity to take a picture with her. Joniston was not to be outdone, as many voters greeted him and offered words of encouragement.

Jo Anna and Joniston said hello and exchanged pleasantries briefly.

Two other candidates in the four-cornered fight at DUN Kiulu are Terence Sinti (Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR) and Gaibin Ransoi (Parti Cinta Sabah (PCS).
