(Update) Tengku Adnan retains Putrajaya

PUTRAJAYA: Barisan Nasional (BN)’s candidate Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor retains its Putrajaya parliamentary seat (P125) with a majority of 3,372 votes.

Tengku Adnan received 12,148 votes beating Pas candidate Zainal Abidin Kidam and PKR candidate Datuk Dr Samsu Adabi Mamat, who only managed to secure 3,634 and 8,776 votes respectively.

EC election officer, Datuk Azizi Termizi announced the decision at the counting centre at Presint 9 Neighborhood Complex at 10.30pm.

This is the fourth win for Tengku Adnan.

In the last GE13, Tengku Adnan defeated Pas candidate Datuk Husam Musa with a majority of 5,541 votes.

Met by reporters after the announcement, he said he was grateful for the victory and thanked the voters for supporting him.

"I will continue to carry out my responsibility and pray that Allah will bring goodness to the people of Putrajaya."
