KOTA KINABALU: Sabah government will give RM500 bonus to civil servants in this state in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal said the payment will be done as soon as possible, before the public holidays.
He said this after breaking of fast with Sabah students studying at higher learning institutions in the Peninsula during an event in Selangor on Thursday.
According to Shafie, other states were also giving bonuses ranging between RM400 to RM1,000.
Over 1,200 undergraduates from 44 institutions attended the ceremony organised by Yayasan Sabah.
