Negri PKR to continue 'defending party principles'

SEREMBAN: Negri Sembilan PKR wants to continue defending the principles of the party’s struggles so the people will better appreciate its sacrifices.

State party chairman Aminuddin Harun said failure to do so would lead to betrayals within the party and a betrayal of the people who had voted in Pakatan Harapan.

He said this was what was happening now, with elected representatives of a certain party leaving said party, adding that these people had failed to defend the principles they had been struggling for all this while.

“I believe that the people are fed up with members of parliament who no longer hold on to the principles they had defended all this while. We should be brave in facing whatever position we are in, even when feeling pressured and in difficulty.

“Jumping parties for whatever benefits shows that you are betraying your own party principles,” he said.

Aminuddin, who was asked about his appointment as state PKR chairman, was believed to have been commenting on the decision by certain Umno leaders recently to leave the party.
