'Act against Farhash if he used homosexual label on Azmin'

GEORGE TOWN: A state PKR leader has called for disciplinary action to be taken against Perak PKR chief Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak if he used the homosexual label on party deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali.

PKR Taman Sri Indah branch chief John Ooh Sin Hwa called on the party’s disciplinary board to investigate the claims as reported in the media and, if found to be true, to take the necessary action.

“If indeed he (Farhash) had uttered the label, then he had made a wild accusation and defamed a top party leader.

“Such an action can be deemed as with malicious intent and defamatory.

“If there is any truth to it, then the necessary action should be taken,” he said in a statement made available to the New Straits Times.

The PKR Taman Sri Indah branch falls under the Balik Pulau division, in which Ooh is a committee member.

He added that if the news report was not true, then the party’s disciplinary board should act against the media company for publishing false news.

It was reported that Farhash, who is also the political secretary of PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, had ended his speech outside the Dang Wangi police headquarters following his release from police custody over investigations into the sex videos allegedly involving Azmin, by shouting “Anwar for PM” and “Azmin semburit”.

It was reported that the Economic Affairs Minister was implicated in a sex video scandal, along with former Santubong PKR Youth chief Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz.
