RoS urged to probe sacking of 7 PKR executive members

KUALA LUMPUR: Several PKR Youth leaders have urged the Registrar of Societies (RoS) to step in and look into the sacking of the party’s seven executive members.

In a joint statement signed by 19 PKR Youth leaders, they also urged the RoS to review the wing’s national congress held in Melaka last year.

“We feel disappointed over the proceedings of the party youth national congress which can be disputed, and which did not portray true professionalism.

“As central PKR Youth council members, we also urge the RoS to review the legitimacy of the sacking of seven leaders through letters in December 2019 and January 2020.

“We object to their sacking. Such dismissal is improper as it did not go through a proper and democratic process of judgment.”

The statement was signed by PKR Youth deputy chief Muhammad Hilman Idham, and vice-chiefs Mohd Nazree Mohd Yunus and Jestin Raj Savarimuthu, among others.

They added that had they also submitted several documents which included statutory declarations, police reports and other relevant documents for the RoS to review.

On Jan 15, seven members were removed from the PKR Youth executive committee for not attending meetings.

The seven are Nagarajan Kaniappan, Ahmad Khairul Mohamed Noor, Mohd Akmal Hisyam Ahmad Tamyiz, Mohd Firdaus Yusoff, Mohd Izad Buqhary Mohd Kamri, Nik Mohd Faris Syazwan Zainuzzaman and Wan Mohamad Fitri Wan Abdul Rahim.
