'Azmin and Co enter palace through different gate'

KUALA LUMPUR: As the interview session between members of Parliament and the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah continues today, it is learned that several PKR members gained entry into Istana Negara via a different gate.

Earlier, all PKR MPs arrived together for their audience with the Ruler.

However, a source from the party told the New Straits Times that former PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, former vice president Zuraida Kamaruddin and 9 others who had been accused of betraying party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim by leaving the party, gained entry through a separate gate for their audience with Al-Sultan Abdullah.

"They accidentally went to the first gate and managed to enter the palace for their one-on-one interview with Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah scheduled at 1pm," the source said.

The main gate used for MPs to enter the palace at the moment, and where press members are camped, is Gate 2.
