KOTA KINABALU: Perikatan Nasional chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin will understand the reason behind Gabungan Rakyat Sabah's (GRS) move to support the unity government, coalition chairman Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said.
After tabling the 2023 Sabah Budget at the state assembly building here, he told reporters the decision to support Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's government was made by GRS after considering the benefits for Sabah.
"We think about the interests of Sabah, under GRS where we give priority to this state.
"I think Tan Sri (Muhyiddin) knows about this (understands) and he is wise. I think there is no problem, because this is our decision in GRS," he said.
For the record, Hajiji is from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia, of which Muhyiddin is president.
