Pas leader says DAP will leave once Umno refuses to heed advice

SHAH ALAM: Pas vice-president Idris Ahmad warned Umno that DAP would distance itself if Umno ceased to heed the party's advice.

"DAP will assist you as long as you heed their advice, but they will disassociate from you once you stop doing so," he said during the Pas' Muktamar last night.

He claimed that DAP had leveraged Pas in order to secure the Malay votes, and was now doing the same with Umno.

"Take Pahang for instance, where Perikatan Nasional and Barisan Nasional secured more seats than Pakatan Harapan.

"Despite this, BN opted to collaborate with PH. A similar scenario unfolded in Perak, and BN chose to work with PH," he said.

Idris said he predicted that the people would penalise Umno for this, and urged the party to enjoy the momentary satisfaction while it can.

At the same time, he urged PN supporters to remain patient and persist with their grassroots efforts.

"Just exercise patience and let's work together. InshaAllah, we'll gain strength in the upcoming 16th general election.

"The youths should continue spreading the truth through platforms such as TikTok, Facebook, WhatsApp, and others." he added.
