Channel allocations fairly to all reps, Bersatu man tells PM, cabinet

KUALA TERENGGANU: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and the cabinet need to display their statesmanship by channelling allocations fairly, including to the opposition.

Bersatu information chief Datuk Razali Idris said the administration of the unity government led by Anwar, should not waver and must channel the constituency development funds (CDF) to the representatives, including senators, unconditionally and impartially.

He said Anwar and his cabinet must respect the voters' choice, especially in the opposition areas, and not threaten or pull strings with the opposition.

"What was implied in the decree of the Tuanku Agong (His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia), who assessed the living conditions of more than 33 million Malaysians?

"The struggle of the people, the complaints of the people and the hardships of the people were very much felt by Sultan Ibrahim.

"The unity government should understand that on the shoulders of 222 members of parliament are actually the hopes of more than 33 million people.

"It is mandatory to provide CDF to elected representatives, including senators, without conditions and bias.

"The prime minister and the cabinet should act as statesmen before Sultan Ibrahim reprimand them.

"This unfair practice that started in the time of Barisan Nasional and now Pakatan Harapan should be stopped," he said.
