Companies should come up with WFH policy

LETTERS: IT is time that we adopt a new model work in the post-Covid-19 world, namely the Flexible Working Arrangement (FWA) or Work From Home (WFH).

Generally speaking, it is not desirable to travel daily and face traffic jams on the way to or from the office.

One thing which the Covid-19 pandemic has taught us is the importance of work-life balance and to be smarter in our working duties.

FWA or WFH has reduced workers' financial burden as they can be at home or at any location they feel comfortable doing their job, without additional expense.

Reducing workers' burden and hardship, will, in the long term, reduce their stress, allow them to focus more effectively and increase productivity.

Covid-19 has changed our working life through the wide adoption of communications technology. Many are now comfortable with using technology for not just work but in all professional and daily affairs.

Organisations should now have a policy on remote work for their employees which can be refined from time to time according to their needs and requirements.
