Heartbreak for Yew Sin-Ee Yi at German Open

KUALA LUMPUR: Professional duo of Ong Yew Sin-Teo Ee Yi hit a snag as they were defeated in the semi-finals of the German Open on Saturday.

In a surprisingly one-sided match, world No. 12 Yew Sin and Ee Yi were outplayed 21-5, 21-15 by China's He Ji Ting-Ren Xiang Yu in just 34 minutes.

Yew Sin-Ee Yi will now turn their focus to the French Open, where they face a challenging showdown against India's world No. 1 Satwiksairaj Rankireddy-Chirag Shetty.

Ji Ting-Xiang Yu, the world No. 14, will take on Denmark's Rasmus Kjaer- Frederik Sogaard in Sunday's final, aiming for back-to-back titles following their triumph at the Thailand Masters.
