Amirudin: Shah Alam Stadium will not be known as Arena PKNS

KUALA LUMPUR: The Selangor government has denied claims that the Shah Alam Stadium will soon be known as Arena PKNS.

“This is not true,” said state government executive councillor Amirudin Shaari on Saturday.

A poster depicting the picture of Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Azmin Ali and his statement over the change of the venue’s name to Arena PKNS emerged on social media recently.

The 33-time Malaysia Cup champions have become a nomadic side since last season as several requests to play at Shah Alam Stadium were not answered by the Selangor government.

Last season, Selangor played their home matches at Selayang Stadium.

The FA of Selangor are awaiting for Football Malaysia LLP’s (FMLPP) approval to play their home matches at the National Stadium in 2018.
