Pahang to miss four regulars for Perak SEDC clash

KUANTAN: FA Cup champions Pahang have confirmed that four of their regulars will not be available for Wednesday’s Super League match against Perak SEDC at Darulmakmur Stadium.

They four are captain Matthew Davies, Brazilian Patrick Cruz, Faisal Rosli and Muslim Ahmad.

Coach Dollah Salleh admitted that their absence will be felt as they played a key role in last weekend’s FA Cup triumph.

“It will be difficult without them, but I believe we still have the depth to earn three points and improve our standing in the league.

“A win is important as we want to achieve our target of finishing runners-up.

“We are motivated and determined after our FA Cup victory, and I am confident Perak SEDC will return home disappointed,” said Dollah, whose team have earned 28 points after 17 matches.

Dollah, a former national coach, however, warned his players not to be overconfident on Wednesday.

“Perak SEDC are desperate for points as they are just above the relegation zone.

“Desperate teams are normally dangerous to face, so we need to be cautious in all aspects,” Dollah added.
