Bad news for Malaysian football fans of Europe's Champions League?

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian fans of the mighty Reds could be seeing red tomorrow.

They may not get to watch Liverpool play PSG in the Champions League live on TV.

There are talks that Astro might not be able to show the match live.

A statement posted on the Astro Facebook page yesterday said: “Hi all, we apologise for an earlier post on the UEFA Champions League's broadcasting rights. The negotiations have taken longer than expected as there are multiple parties we need to speak to. Rest assured that we will try to get an agreement before kick-off. We will provide an update on the outcome very soon. Thank you.”

Not only Liverpool fans are concerned. So are the Malaysian fans of Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur,

Football lovers will also be upset if they can’t watch live matches on television involving Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Tomorrow, Barcelona and Lionel Messi will play Eindhoven while Tottenham Hotspur will face Inter Milan in the Champions League.

On Thursday, Manchester United will take on Young Boys while Manchester City will meet Lyon.

Real Madrid will play Roma while Cristiano Ronaldo and his new team, Juventus will play Valencia.
