Aidil expects the Thais to be more aggressive in semis return leg

KUALA LUMPUR: Defender Aidil Zafuan Abd Radzak admitted that Malaysia will be in for a difficult time in the AFF Cup semi-final return leg against Thailand in Bangkok following the 0-0 draw at home on Saturday.

He believes the Thais will make changes in their approach especially in attack.

“We must forget about the first leg. The Thais will likely change their tactics and we need to be prepared for them,” said the centre-back.

The 31-year-old noted that his team did well defensively on Saturday.

“When a team do not concede, it means the defence did well. We had scoring chances but none were converted. Anyway, everyone did their best in all departments.

“The return leg will be a tough assignment. We need to plan our tactics and of course, there will be changes in our approach,” he added.

He also wants his teammates to remain calm and focus for the game.
