Lee Tuck's Harimau Malaya dream put on hold

KUALA LUMPUR: Terengganu’s Lee Tuck has, for now, decided to forgo his dream of playing for Malaysia.

At the moment, the Englishman, whose grandmother is Malaysian, is unable to provide the documents needed to apply for a Malaysian passport.

“I am unable to provide the documents needed to become a local player. I need more time to look for the papers, so when the time is right and everything is ready, I will try again,” said Tuck in a statement on Sunday

“I still want to play for Malaysia, and hopefully, it will become a reality one day.

“I will continue to do what I can to get the documents ready.

“For now, I will focus on the M-League with Terengganu.”

Tuck, 31, who has had stints in England and Thailand, moved to the M-League by joining Negri Sembilan in 2017 before moving to Terengganu in the following season.
