Sarawak United snub media

KUALA LUMPUR: Sarawak United have barred their players, coaches and officials from talking to the media.

Sarawak United received a direct entry into the Premier League after they bought over Selangor United, who were playing in the second-tier competition, in December.

“We have decided not to issue statements to the media. We are still in the process of getting the team prepared for the M-League.

“We will only comment once we get a good result,” said team manager Hamzah Ibrahim today.

Among their recruits are former Selangor captain Amri Yahyah, Fauzi Roslan (Pahang), S. Chanturu (Felda United), Ashri Chuchu (Kuala Lumpur) and S. Veenod (Police).

The team have not been doing well in friendly matches, losing to KL (3-1), Police (5-0) and Perak (4-1).
