We need 1,000 tickets, says Kedah FA

ALOR STAR: Kedah need 1,000 tickets but according to stadium-capacity rules, only 500 tickets will be allocated to the Red Eagles by Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) for Friday’s Charity Shield match at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium in Iskandar Puteri.

Kedah FA (KFA) honorary secretary Asmirul Anuar Aris hope JDT will allocate another 500 tickets for their fans.

“Although JDT have confirmed that they will only allocate 500 tickets based on a Malaysia Football League (MFL) ruling, I hope they will re-look it and give us another 500.

“We will be grateful if they can allocate additional tickets. Many Kedah fans are hoping to watch the match at their new stadium.”

According to MFL’s regulations, teams with a stadium capacity of between 30,000 and 40,000 only need to allocate 500 tickets to visiting fans.

The newly-built Sultan Ibrahim Stadium has a capacity of 35,000.
