Pahang unveil mobile ticketing app for M-League

KUANTAN: Queuing for hours for match tickets at the Darulmakmur Stadium here will be a thing of the past following the launch of the ‘PahangFA’ app by the FA of Pahang (FAP) today.

PFA are the first Malaysian football association to launch an app for supporters to buy tickets. The app will also include profiles of players, line-ups for matches and team information.

Tickets, priced at RM10, RM13 and RM23 (grandstand), can be purchased online, and fans only need to scan the QR Code before making their way into the stadium.

Team manager Datuk Mohammed Suffian Awang said the introduction of the mobile ticketing app is a move to lure more fans especially youngsters and those travelling from other districts to watch matches here.

“Fans no longer need to queue or travel to Kuantan a day before to buy their tickets. They can now book the tickets online and print them at the stadium.

“However, tickets will still be sold at the stadium. We will no longer use physical match tickets. Fans will only be given their payment receipts,” he said when met after the PFA jersey launch here today.

PFA also launched their traditional yellow jersey for home matches, light green for away games and pink as their third jersey today.

Meanwhile, a spokesman from the agency which developed the ‘PahangFA’ app said fans can pick the matches they want to attend as tickets for the entire year will be sold.

“Fans can decide on the matches and buy in advance to avoid disappointment. One person is entitled to four tickets each and a service charge of RM1.50 will be imposed for each purchase.

“Even football fans travelling from other states can use the application to secure their tickets. Fans can buy tickets for the Super League match against Selangor on Feb 29 through the mobile application,” he said.

Pahang have registered 26 players for the new season. Their foreign signings are Dickson Nwakaeme (Nigeria), Herold Goulon (France), Ivan Carlos (Brazil), Adam Reed (Philippines) dan Khalil Khamis (Lebanon).
