MFL staff to take pay cut

THE Malaysia Football League (MFL) announced yesterday that their staff will take a pay cut of between 10 and 20 per cent if the Movement Control Order (MCO) is extended beyond April 14.

It came as no surprise as the FA of Malaysia (FAM) also announced a similar move on Friday.

The move was expected as Datuk Hamidin Amin is the president of both organisations.

MFL chief executive office Datuk Ghani Hassan said: “It was a difficult decision to make.

“However, it was agreed upon during Monday’s board of directors meeting, chaired by the president, via a video conference call.

“The Covid-19 has led to the suspension of all football competitions in the country,” said Ghani in his statement yesterday.

The M-League has been suspended since March 16.
