Red Eagles still waiting for foreign duo to fly in

AMID global upheaval caused by the coronavirus, Kedah are waiting for the return of their foreign players - Renan Alves and Amin Nazari.

The duo are expected to arrive for the first phase training during the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) period.

Kedah coach Aidil Sharin Sahak said Alves and Amin will come to Malaysia as soon as Kedah FA get their travel document and other related paperwork approved.

"Alves is from Brazil and we are waiting for him to do a swab test in his country before he is allowed back into Malaysia," said Aidil.

"Amin, our Asian quota player from the Philippines, has received the result of his swab test, and is expected to come here any time."

Singaporean Aidil, himself, did a swab test before he was allowed across the Causeway.

"I expect Alves to be in Alor Star next week while Amin may arrive sooner," he said.

Kedah have been given clearance to conduct non-contact training by the Malaysian Football League last Tuesday. The Red Eagles began training in a closed venue at Darul Aman Stadium since last Wednesday.
