Penang, Sabah share spoils

KUALA LUMPUR: Penang failed to move up to second in the Super League after they were held 1-1 by Sabah at the City Stadium today.

Sabah dominated the opening minutes but failed to capitalise on them through Saddil Ramdani in the fourth and sixth minutes.

Saddil, however, made his third attempt count with a goal in the 52nd minute.

Five minutes from time, Penang's Anselmo Arruda da Silva levelled proceedings by heading home a corner kick.

Penang are fourth with 15 points while Sabah are 10th on six after eight matches.
