KUALA LUMPUR: Young Malaysian striker Luqman Hakim Shamsudin will continue plying his trade abroad as he has now joined J3 League side Yokohama SCC on loan from Belgium's KV Kortrijk.

It was confirmed by Yokohama on their official website today.

"Luqman will join the club from KV Kortrijk on loan until Jan 1, 2025," said the statement.

Luqman said: "I'm very happy to come to Yokohama. I will do my best this season." said Luqman.

This is Luqman's second loan deal from Kortrijk.

The forward became the first Malaysian to play in Iceland after being loaned out for a year to Njardvik, a Division Two side.

He joined Kortrijk in 2020 when he was 18 years old and made two senior appearances.
