Talent from Manchester United and Arsenal to play for Malaysia?

KUALA LUMPUR: Local fans, who are self-appointed talent scouts, have discovered two English Premier League-linked talent of Malaysian ancestry.

The duo are Manchester United's Ethan Wheatly and Arsenal's Jimi Gower.

According to Future Talents on X, Wheatly has ties to Malaysia through his grandmother.

The centre forward currently plays for Manchester United's Under-18 side. So far, he has recorded four goals and one assist to help his side occupy first place in the Northern league.

Gower, 19. is said to have Malaysian blood on his mother's side. According to Arseblog, Gower, who plays for Arsenal's Under-21 side, is an attacking midfielder.

"Gower has good quality to be used anywhere the coach wants because he is always striving to shut down his opponent's moves and is a source of creativity.

"Son to former Swansea City footballer Mark Gower, he has plenty of potential from a tactical aspect and should prove useful.

"He is always training with the first team where he was called to join in on a friendly match against Watford during the preseason," said Arseblog.
