THE Malaysian Sea Games Organising Committee (MASOC) received a substantial shot in the arm from Sony today.
Sony has come on board as a gold sponsor, and will contribute between RM3 million and RM7.5 million in the form of cash and marketing support.
This sponsorship will cover the Sea Games as well as the Asean Para Games in September (collectively known as KL2017).
The company will also loan up to 50 units of the Sony a9 camera to KL2017 official photographers. Sony will be the 'Official Camera for KL2017'.
Deputy Sports Minister Datuk M. Saravanan, who witnessed the signing ceremony between Masoc chief executive officer Datuk Seri Zolkples Embong and Sony Malaysia managing director Satoru Arai, believes Sony will receive substantial brand exposure through the sponsorship.
"It is an achievement for Sony. Every moment of the games will be captured on a Sony camera," said Saravanan.
