UniKL eye opening MHL win over TNB

KUALA LUMPUR: Universiti KL (UniKL) captain Marhan Jalil hopes his team will comeback stronger in the Malaysian Hockey League (MHL) Premier Division following the semi-final exit in the recent P. Alagendra Cup.

The university outfit open their campaign against Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) on Friday.

"We need to be mentally prepared against TNB,” said Marhan.

"We are fortunate to have foreign players with experience in the team and we look towards them to help us achieve success.

"We need to be tight against TNB as they have excellent attacking players.

"TNB have players with speed that can catch us napping if left unmarked."

Marhan believes that penalty corners will play a vital role in the match.

"We need to be efficient in defending penalty corners and also attacking from them.

"The team are geared up to do well in the league where every point matters.

"We need to negotiate our matches with patience,” Marhan added.
