KUALA LUMPUR: The national players were rewarded by the Malaysian Hockey Confederation (MHC) on Thursday for their achievements last year.
Those who played in the Asia Cup in Dhaka in October each received RM10,000 for guiding the team to the silver medal.
As for the KL Sea Games winning team, each player were paid RM1,000.
"Our next target is to win the Asian Games gold medal in Indonesia,” said MHC deputy president Datuk Dr S. Shamala.
The Asian Games champions will qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Games.
The national team will play friendly matches against Olympic champions Argentina from Feb 27 ahead of the Azlan Shah Cup in Ipoh on March 3-10.
