Malaysia to unleash PC power

BHUBANESWAR, India: Malaysia boast of two world class penalty corner flickers but the Netherlands gave them only one chance. And even that on Saturday, and it was saved by their goalkeeper.

Against Pakistan on Wednesday, the Malaysian Tigers aim to get their act together and get a win.

“We did win many penalty corners againts Pakistan in the Asian Champions Trophy and that's what we will play for in the World Cup as well.

“Razie (Rahim) and I know what to do but did not get enough chances against the Dutch. I believe we will get a fair chance against Pakistan as we are more familiar with them,” said Faizal Saari.

Malaysia lost all their three previous matches against Pakistan, in the Asian Games and twice in the Asian Champions Trophy.

“Yes, but in the last ACT match, Pakistan took a 4-1 lead and we managed to claw back to 4-4 before losing the shootout (3-1).

“That is the positive we will be taking into the match where we must win, we must make sure we win. No matter the cost, victory must be ours".

Faizal scored eight goals in the ACT, and he looked sharp in training yesterday.

And if he gets more chances on Dec 5, Malaysia can rest assured he will fire in one, or two to keepthe country afloat in the World Cup.
