Ann Seng-Kit Fatt fall in World Amateur Snooker Masters semis

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's Ng Ann Seng and Liew Kit Fatt squandered a glorious chance to reach the final of the World Amateur Team Masters (40 and above) Snooker Championship today.

Ann Seng, 63, and Kit Fatt, 55, let slip - NSTP file pic a commanding 3-1 lead and went down 4-3 (71-38, 45-66, 62-72, 45-67, 64-22, 62-35, 55-26) to Iraq's Ihab Al-Salih-Firas Kamil Shaba in the semi-finals at the High End Snooker Club in Kuala Lumpur.

The title eventually went to Thailand's James Wattana-Noppadon Noppachorn who outplayed Ihab-Firas 4-0 in the final.

James-Noppachorn had earlier beaten Darren Morgan-Philip Williams of Wales 4-2 in the semi-finals.

Malaysia were represented by four teams. The other three teams were made up of Reza Hassan-Roslan Yurnalis, Ooi Chin Kay-Goh Boon Sun and Teo Kah Shing-Fong Keng Seng.

Reza-Roslan and Chin Kay-Boon Sun managed to reach the last eight.
