Boxer Aiman takes the 'road to greatness in Cavite

KUALA LUMPUR: Aiman Abu Bakar will fight Thailand's Arnon Yupang on Nov 4 in Cavite, the Philippines, for the World Boxing Council Asia (WBC Asia) featherweight title.

The 31-year-old Malaysian, who has accumulated an impressive 10-1-1 (win-loss-draw) record, said: "I've been in the Philippines for a training camp since June.

"I'm ready for the fight. I can't wait to return home with a victory belt.

"I'm confident that I can showcase my abilities and put on a great performance.

"This fight will be key to my 'road to greatness' and it can open more doors in my quest to be a world champion.

"I expect my opponent (Arnon) to be well prepared, but I'm prepared for anything he brings to the table."

Aiman's last fight was against Filipino Pablito Canada in August, and it ended in a draw.
