Eain Yow, Rachel fall in Singapore Open

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's Asian squash champion Ng Eain Yow fell to Egypt's seventh seed Youssef Soliman in the Singapore Open today.

Eain Yow battled for 64 minutes before going down 13-11, 9-11, 6-11, 2-11 to Youssef at the Singapore Sports Hub.

In the women's competition, Malaysian No. 2 Rachel Arnold also exited the second round with a 7-11, 4-11, 6-11 loss in 31 minutes to Salma Hany of Egypt.

Asian Games champion S. Sivasangari is the only Malaysian left in tournament, and she will face Egypt's top seed Nour El Tayeb in the second round tomorrow.
