Ameeshenraj sees massive jump of 28 spots in PSA Tour rankings

KUALA LUMPUR: Bristol-based C. Ameeshenraj jumped 28 spots to world No. 106 in the men's PSA Tour rankings after winning the Liverpool Cricket Club Open in England last week.

It is the 20-year-old's career-best ranking, and he hopes to make more breakthroughs.

"I am not too far away from breaking into the top 100. My target is top 90 by the next few months," said Ameeshenraj.

"I have nothing lined up for in April and May as I am taking time off to focus on my studies," said the Business Administration student of Bristol University.

"I will play in Malaysia and Japan in June."

Compatriots Ng Eain Yow and Addeen Idrakie remained No. 22 and No. 65, respectively, followed by Sanjay Jeeva (No. 75) and Syafiq Kamal (No.98).

In the women's rankings, S. Sivasangari moved up three rungs to No. 13 after winning the London Classic on Monday.
