Prayer app to foster ties among Muslims

KUALA LUMPUR: Muslims can now send prayers to family and friends through the newly launched Send Doa app today.

Verified by the Islamic Development Department (Jakim), the app also includes several features such as doa recitations in audio files, transcripts and translations.

The app also has the ability to post personal greetings or messages in four languages – English, Malay, Indonesian and Arabic apart from a doa playlist.

Created by Dunia Diyari Sdn Bhd, users can send greetings, doas, thoughts and wishes to their loved ones as a greeting card with audio recitation of the Quranic verses.

Dunia Diyari, in a statement, said the Islamic greeting application with verses sourced 100 per cent from the Quran enables the fostering of “silaturrahim” or relationships and cordiality.

Today’s technology allows this custom to be practiced instantaneously with sender and recipient thousands of miles apart yet able to share and experience through an enhanced audio-visual rich app like Send Doa.

“There are doas and verses for multitude of occasions. Send Doa contains over 100 unique verses and full surahs categorised into various occasions, enabling the user to easily navigate their way through and find the specific doa to meet that occasion,” the company said.

The Send Doa app is available on Apple’s AppStore for iOS and Google Playstore for Android users for free with no in-app purchases and hidden cost.
