Dell unveils new products and services at Computex

TAIPEI: The Gaming industry has never been bigger, especially with the rise of interest in eSports, where most computer vendors deliver their best gaming machines to the market. Dell is no exception with its two dedicated line-ups for gaming alone, the Alienware and the G-Series, catering to both hard-core and entry-level-on-a-budget gamers.

Announced at a sideline event during Computex 2019, in Taipei, Taiwan, Dell showcased the newly designed and upgraded specs for the G-Series - G3 15 with 9th Gen Intel Quad and Hex-Core processors (up to i7), while for the G7 line, the G7 15 supports up to 9th Gen Intel Core i9 processors and 8th Gen Intel Core i9 for the G7 17 for powerful performance whether for gaming, streaming videos, or working on CPU-intensive projects.

Designed with gamers in mind, the G-Series come equipped with Game Shift mode for performance boosting during periods of intense gaming sessions. The Alienware Command Center

allows customisation of the optional backlit 4-zone RGB keyboard and advanced sound features with nahimic 3D Audio, something which gamers would really love having.

The Dell G3 15 is available in the US and China market from May 28, 2019 with prices starting from US$799. The G7 availability is to be announced.

FOR THE SERIOUS GAMERS

Alienware, meanwhile, is offering a double-dose of hardcore gaming performance in its newly-developed magnesium aloy chassis, resulting in lighter, stronger body. On the inside, the new Alienware m15 and m17 are powered by 9th generation Intel Core processors as well as NVIDIA GeForce GTX or RTXTM graphics.

All processors on the m15 and m17 feature Alienware's dynamic over clocking technology intended to maintain turbo speeds. The m15s and m17s using higher end graphics like 2070s and 2080s are then also outfitted with 8-phase graphics voltage regulation and 6-phase processors voltage regulation with the intention to sustain the highest performance possible for longer gaming experience than ever before.

To keep the machine cool despite long, intensive gaming session, Dell applies evolutionary Cryo-Tech Cooling 3.0 technology, bringing an increased airflow and thermal efficiency to maintain excellent level of performance despite being in such a thin body.

Also revealed at the same event are the only new accessory line - the Alienware Stereo Gaming Headset and the Alienware 7.1 Gaming Headset which comes with detachable USB connection, providing cross-platform compatibility via a swappable 3.5mm cable for use with Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.

EASY ON THE EYE

Dell is proud to be the first to bring Eyesafe display to consumers.

Compared to other software-only solutions, which either distort the colour output or do not adequately target the most harmful light emissions, the Eyesafe displays combine hardware and software adjustments to more effectively protect against harmful blue light, while maintaining colour performance.

Dell is the first to market Eyesafe display innovation where it lowers harmful blue light emissions while maintaining beautifully vivid colour accuracy with its intelligent management of RGB.

The display also meets the Healthe and TüV standards for colour balance and blue light reduction and it is the blue light solution recommended by the Vision Health Advisory Board.
