#TECH: Yoodo unveils a range of new products

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s customisable digital mobile service Yoodo has unveiled 20 announcements, which include a new logo as well as new product innovations, e-sports, active sports and promos.

According to the company, the new logo “Yoodo powered by Celcom” symbolises the best in digital user experience through the innovative edge of Yoodo and the vast network coverage of Celcom.

“Yoodo understands the needs and wants of the modern consumer. We treat them as individuals, giving them greater freedom of choice and control,”said Chow Tuck Mun, Head of Yoodo.

Besides the new logo, the company also unveiled Renew Anytime, a new feature that allow users to customise the data, voice and SMS of their mobile plans anywhere and at any time, a Power Pass that offers 100GB of data for 60 mins at RM2, data add-ons for TikTok, Viu, Call of Duty Mobile, Boost and also teased an add-on for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

Customers now can also enjoy greater convenience when they travel with the newly enhanced Roam Like Home, which now offers a 3-day and 7-day pass.

Idham Nawawi, Celcom Axiata Berhad’s CEO said Yoodo is the epitome of Celcom’s start-up mentality that drives innovation above all else.

“We understand that Malaysian consumers, especially the growing digital natives, want a service that is simple, flexible and with great value, while giving them the full control at the same time. These upgrade features, coupled with the strength and width of the Celcom network, are a strong combination not only for the youth, but all Malaysian of different segments and age,” he said.

On the gaming front, Yoodo will be sponsoring and organising a series of e-sports tournaments this year, which include 2020 editions of Player Unknown’s Battleground (PUBG Mobile) National Championship (PMNC) and the PUBG Mobile Campus Championship (PMCC).

Yoodo is also the Official Digital Telco sponsor for the on-going ESL MY Championship 2020 – Call of Duty: Mobile Season 1, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League – Malaysia & Singapore Season 5 and the brand new national level competitive fighting game competition the Yoodo FV Major 2020.

Besides that, Yoodo announced it would once again return as the Official Digital Telco for the Malaysia Premier Futsal League. It will also serve as the Official Digital Broadcast Partner for the league, exclusively broadcasting 30 matches on their YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/c/yoodomy).

To commemorate their 2nd anniversary, Yoodo will bring back the 20GB for RM20 promotion.
