Giuseppe Zanotti designs shoes for Joe Flizzow and SonaOne

He may be known as a designer for women's shoes, with a penchant for sky-high heels, but that didn't stop Giuseppe Zanotti to re-make two sneakers for local rappers Joe Flizzzow and SonaOne, inspired by his love for music.

Zanotti, who started his career as a DJ before he started making shoes, went back to the world of music for inspiration.

These two limited edition male sneaker styles are based on Zanotti classics – the Frankie and the Talon.

The Frankie Noir low-top sneaker was re-imagined for Joe Flizzow in all black version with fiery red logo, contrast stitching and zip fastenings on either side, showcasing the rapper's style in an elegant and elevated colourway.

"As a sneaker collector, I feel honoured to be able to share and see my vision transformed into reality," Joe Flizzow says.

Embracing the free-spirit of hip hop, SonaOne customised the Bright Talon low-top sneakers with a bright multi-coloured fantasy, featuring glitter embellishments, complete with Zanotti's signature white rubber Talon sole.

"To be a part of this collaboration with Zanotti is truly a moment of convergence between two creators, manifesting our imagination into the world for anyone who wishes to put their flair on display," he says.

The shoes are available in limited quantities at the brand's Pavilion Kuala Lumpur store.
